1. At a glance
This website does not set cookies, does not use analytics or tracking services and does not load fonts or scripts from third-party servers. Personal data is only processed to the extent technically necessary to deliver the pages, and when you contact us by email or phone of your own accord.

The controller is the natural or legal person who, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data.
3. Hosting and delivery
This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA and delivered via its network. When you open a page, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data, in particular your IP address, date and time of access, the requested address, the amount of data transferred, browser type and version, operating system and the previously visited page (referrer). This data is not combined with other data sources.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in providing the website securely, quickly and without errors and in defending against attacks.
We have concluded a data processing agreement with Cloudflare. A transfer to the USA is possible; it is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, under which Cloudflare is certified, and on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. Further information: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
4. Cookies
We do not set cookies or use comparable recognition techniques. To protect against automated attacks, Cloudflare may set a technically necessary cookie (“__cf_bm”). It serves security purposes only, contains no user identifier and is deleted after 30 minutes. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in conjunction with § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG.
5. Images from our content management system
Images on pages that we maintain via our content management system may be loaded from it at cms.vass-service.de. It runs on a server that we operate with Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, and is also delivered via Cloudflare. In the process, your IP address is transmitted to this server. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
6. Contact by email or phone
If you contact us by email or phone, we process your details (e.g. name, contact details, content of your enquiry) in order to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract or its initiation, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in handling enquiries). We receive emails via Microsoft 365 (Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd., Dublin, Ireland). The data remains with us until the purpose no longer applies or you request deletion; statutory retention periods remain unaffected.
7. Storage period
Unless a more specific period is stated above, we store personal data only for as long as necessary for the respective purpose or as required by statutory retention obligations (e.g. under commercial and tax law).
8. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR). To do so, please contact the controller named above.
Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)
Where processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object to it at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then no longer process the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement.
9. Encryption
This website is delivered exclusively over an encrypted connection (TLS). You can recognise this by “https://” and the padlock symbol in your browser’s address bar.
